Battery Springs & Contact Terminals
Precision contact springs and terminals engineered for reliable conductivity, low contact resistance, and long-term anti-oxidation in battery-powered devices and modules.
Product Types & Configurations
Coin & Button Cell Spring Contacts
Precision low-profile leaf and wire contacts engineered for CR2032, CR2025, and button cell retainers in IoT sensors, smart watches, and medical electronics.
Cylindrical Cell Conical Springs
Conical compression springs designed for AA, AAA, 18650, and 21700 battery compartments. Coils collapse within each other to achieve minimal solid height while maintaining positive contact force.
High-Current Battery Pack Terminals
Multi-point contact springs and heavy-gauge terminals engineered for high-discharge lithium battery modules, power tools, and electric mobility systems without excessive thermal voltage drop.
Spring Materials Selection
Battery springs must deliver an optimal balance of electrical conductivity, mechanical contact pressure, and corrosion resistance. TOSTA offers specialized alloy options:
Phosphor Bronze (CuSn6 / C5191)
High electrical conductivity, dependable spring resilience, and superior fatigue life; the industry standard for commercial battery contacts.
Beryllium Copper (CuBe2 / C17200)
Ultra-high electrical and thermal conductivity combined with maximum yield strength; ideal for demanding high-current, low-impedance battery packs.
Stainless Steel (SUS301 / 302 / 304)
Exceptional mechanical spring force and chemical corrosion resistance; typically combined with electroplated coatings for optimal electrical contact.
Plating & Surface Finishing
Surface plating is critical to ensure low contact impedance, avoid galvanic corrosion, and prevent contact tarnishing over shelf life:
Bright Nickel Plating (2–5 µm)
Cost-effective, highly durable barrier coating providing excellent oxidation protection and good solderability for everyday consumer electronics.
Gold Plating (Flash to 0.5 µm)
Ultra-low contact resistance and ultimate protection against surface oxidation and tarnishing in mission-critical medical and aerospace instrumentation.
Silver Plating (1–3 µm)
Highest electrical and thermal conductivity, delivering minimal voltage drop under sustained high-current battery discharge cycles.
