REDUX™ Wave Springs
REDUX™ Wave Springs deliver identical load performance in approximately half the axial working height of conventional helical compression springs. The premier choice for compact, space-constrained precision mechanisms.
What are REDUX™ Wave Springs?
REDUX™ wave springs are precision flat-wire compression springs formed with continuous sinusoidal wave crests and troughs coiled in circular annular turns. Unlike conventional coil springs whose wires experience torsional shear stress, wave springs deform through pure beam bending. This fundamental mechanical difference allows wave springs to be stacked in single or multiple turns, accommodating diverse load ratings and deflection travels within tight cavity envelopes.
50% Axial Space Savings
Provides identical spring force and deflection at roughly half the operating height of conventional round-wire coil springs.
Repeatable Linear Deflection
Engineered sinusoidal wave curvature delivers predictable, linear load-deflection characteristics across dynamic cycles.
Weight & Housing Reduction
Compact profile enables smaller cavity depths, reducing overall assembly dimensions, material costs, and system weight.
Versatile Configurations
Available in single-turn gap/overlap, multi-turn crest-to-crest, nested parallel, and flat-shim end styles.
Product Configurations
Single-Turn Wave Springs
Gap and overlap configurations designed for bearing preloading, mechanical face seals, and light-to-medium axial force retention in shallow pockets.
Explore Single-Turn Springs →Multi-Turn Crest-to-Crest
Continuous multi-layer wave turns delivering extended deflection strokes for fluid valves, high-pressure regulators, and shock mitigation assemblies.
Explore Multi-Turn Springs →Flat-Shim End Wave Springs
Multi-turn springs equipped with 360° flat ground ends that distribute contact force uniformly, preventing localized point gouging on softer mating parts.
